Ramona had new members introduce themselves and share their
successes since the last meeting.
Eddie Conner led the group in a meditation reminding us that all is well if we wish it so.
The opening video was “Removing Residual Fears About Money”
was about money and getting rid of habitual negativity about it.
A lot of us “wobble” when we want something. “Wobbling” is a
contradiction to what we really want that keeps surfacing. We can manifest properly,
but then wobble by asking ourselves if we are ever going to get it.
Ramona read part of Jim Carrey’s commencement address at the
Maharishi University. The link is Jim Carrey's Speech. Some of his key points are:
- Many of us choose their path in life out of fear disguised as practicality.
- There are two choices in life – love or fear.
- So much of what we really want seems out of reach and ridiculous. Ask the Universe for it anyway.
- Fear is going to be a player in your life. You choose how much of a player it will be.
- You can hope for something or have faith that it will work for you.
- Hope walks through fire; Faith leaps over it.
- Life doesn’t happen to you. It happens for you.
- Jim Carrey’s father could have been a great comedian but he did not believe it was possible. So, he took a safe job as an accountant then latter was laid off.
- You can fail at what you don’t want to do, so you might as well take a chance at doing what you love.
- Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world. Let the Universe know what you want. Relax and dream up your good life and let go of how it comes to pass.
There was a great discussion about our concerns and not
feeling that all is well. An actress said she stays in a place of knowing she’ll
get the part when she auditions. After the audition she starts wobbling, especially
if she wants the part. If she doesn’t get the part, she blames herself. When
she catches herself wobbling, she uses the technique of counting to 17 to get
her mind off the negative thought and replace it with something positive.
Ramona asked the group for their thoughts.
A director who “sits on the other side of the audition table”
said “it is not you.” Any actor who
makes it to an audition is doing a great job and should be proud of that
accomplishment. Many times the actor selected is based on nepotism, what size
the person is because they already have the costume made, and other items not
related to the actor’s talent. You can be proud that you were invited to the table in the first place.
Some other thoughts were to use the audition as practice and
continued experience, stay in the wobble-free zone for the joy of it, desire
and resistance are two conflicting viewpoints that keep us wobbling, keep
yourself in the head-space heart-space so you can get the part, step out of your
old negative self-talk or auto pilot and be in the flow of the present moment
experience, ask yourself why you want this part anyway and stay in the part of
the business you love, and just let go and let the Universe do it for you.
A fun idea is to be an actor, acting as an actor acting in a
series. When we are feeling resistance things get blocked or slow us down. One
person uses an imaginary “Trust Switch” so as to stay in alignment more
consistently. If it doesn’t feel right, just flip the switch. Remember Source
has our backs.
Use gridding to conjure the emotions that elevate our
feelings of well being.
We can’t change things until we shift into a higher flying
disc. When we shift higher we gain more momentum. Practice feeling good for the
joy of feeling good because this keeps us in the flow.
Lay new pipes instead of trying to unclog the old rusty clogged
pipes. New pipes can develop new beliefs
and new habits.
Make a list of the kind things people have said about you
and keep the list close to your heart.
Maray read a story entitled “Praising You” about a tribe in
Africa that had an interesting ritual. In the Babemba tribe, when a person acts
irresponsibly or unjustly, he or she is placed in the center of the village,
alone and unfettered. All work ceases and every man, woman and child in the
village gathers in a large circle around the accused individual. Then each
person speaks to the person, one at a time, about all the good things the
accused person has done in his lifetime. Every incident, every experience that
can be recalled with any detail and accuracy is recounted. All his or her
positive attributes, good deeds, strengths and kindnesses are recited carefully
and at length. The tribal ceremony often lasts several days.
Ramona suggested the following challenge: No one prevents us from
creating such a circle for ourselves, and we can do it all ourselves, and it
can be empowering. And we don’t have to wait until we behave “irresponsibly or
unjustly,” we can stand in this circle any moment, including right now!
We can imagine a circle of
all the people who knew/know us, loved/love us, our children, friends, parents.
We are actually in a better position than those tribe participants because we
can imagine any people who are an inspiration to us, whether they be in
physical or non-physical. And then hear what they say to us, how they praise
us, – as much as we enjoy listening to it.
Ramona read the following from Abraham-Hicks:
The closing video was Love Is Who We Are.

Our next meeting will be September 23rd
and will be hosted by Eddie Conner since Mike and Ramona will be on the Abraham
cruise. They will return to Burbank late October or early November for the next
meeting and will let you know as soon as travel schedules are set.
