GIVING YOUR OLD THOUGHT PATTERNS AN UPGRADE



Ramona opened the meeting with introduction of new members and asking attendees what they have appreciated since their last meeting.
Eddie Conner provided a meditation interspersed with his wonderful humor setting the stage for all of us to be on our high flying discs.
A segment from the latest Abraham Live event was shown and discussed. (Sorry, Live Feed videos are not available on You Tube). It used the term “High Flying Disc” (HFD) so Mike provided the following explanation. Visualize a funnel shaped cloud like a tornado. Then imagine it is made up of discs with the smaller ones at the bottom and increasing in size as we move up the funnel. The small discs at the bottom represent the low feelings we get when we are depressed or ornery or in the company of someone we simply do not like or trust. And yet there is some good in that state of being. As we move up to the next higher disc, imagine that one contains all the good elements from the last disc and some additional good feelings. Then as we move up the funnel of discs, each disc feels better than the previous one until we reach near the top where we find the high flying discs. That is where we want to be as much of the time as possible.
The average person has about 70,000 thoughts every day. The quality of our day can be determined by the vibrational frequency of our thoughts. By maintaining high vibrational thoughts we can facilitate our goal of staying on an HFD.
By simply becoming aware of our most common thoughts we can determine if they are high or low frequency. Some common low frequency thoughts are; 1) I don’t have enough time, 2) How will I get everything done, 3) Past bad memories, and 3) there isn’t enough money. How can we turn these common low frequency thoughts around? Here are some examples of things our group members do to increase their vibrational frequency.
Count your blessings every day – no matter how small. Compliment yourself in the mirror. Develop a series of affirmations to say every day. Laugh more.  Use inner private jokes that make you smile. Go more general in your thoughts. And the best of all, show appreciation for everything.
Thoughts are activated by the attention that is brought to them. The more attention, the more momentum they gain – good or bad. It’s our choice. The better our choices, the higher the disc we choose. By maintaining ourselves on an HFD, the better our lives will be.
When one of our members feels a lack of money, she turns it around by asking herself “Why am I so abundant?” Then she concentrates on all the abundance in her life and makes a list of all the things and thoughts that place her on the HFD. We all have abundance in our lives; find out what it is. Work every angle of a new story to support abundance.
Another member uses this humorous approach. Whenever she finds herself harboring a negative thought she places a face on it. She chose a Golem monster face. Now whenever a negative thought enters her mind she visualizes the Golem monster and recognizes the thought so she can change it to positive.
When we hold a thought for 17 seconds, the power of that thought grows exponentially. If that thought is positive it can cause us to move up to a higher HFD. If it is a low frequency thought, however, it can move us to a lower disc. Remember and be aware that we have 17 seconds to determine if a thought is positive or negative, helping or hurting, and change it if necessary.
One of the points of the Abraham Live video was that the person works with several people who he feels have lower vibrational frequencies. His philosophy is to meet people where they are and bring them to his level. Abraham warned that this seldom works because we cannot change someone else’s vibration. We must maintain our own high frequency and show, through example, that being on an HFD is better than where they are. We need to take care of ourselves first.
A member who raises funds for a charity Children Uniting Nations asked for thoughts on how to increase donations. Suggestions included not talking about what hasn’t been accomplished yet; instead pre-pave what is desired. Speak of what is instead of the absence of it, and don’t keep score too soon. Get into the vision of what’s wanted by seeing each of these kids as having the perfect mentor. Don’t push against it; push it forward.
A member who works in sales asks how to deal with the ebb and flow nature of a commission based job. Listen to Abraham cd’s daily will help. Every day for a week write out everything that feels great and keep reading that list. Change your vocabulary by choosing better words. Change “ebb and flow” to “flow and flow”. Recite an affirmation during the “flow” such as “I want this good feeling energy to go into every area of my life.” When a sale is missed, just say “Some will, some won’t, so what. Next.” Momentum is created by consistency of thought; stay focused on what you do want. Instead of short-changing yourself, amp up, count your successes, and be appreciative of every little win. This is a great feel-good momentum. Think in positive terms such as “I am approaching this sales contact to do some good and connect with others on a powerful level.” No matter what happens you will have been successful.
The key is to pick a process that works for you, then trust it is working so you can create more of what you want. Here are some “one-liner” thoughts to help develop your process:
99% of all manifestations happen before we can see them. Play the “wouldn’t it be wonderful if…” game.
As Abraham says, just expect wonderful things to happen.

It’s as easy to manifest a castle as it is a button.
We have to feel it, be inspired and activate it.
Act as if you already live in the world you want to be in.
Wherever I go, whatever I do, I am okay and all is well. Everything is at peace.
Take care of yourself on the HFD and others will support you as will the Universe.
Really see and hear how great others are doing. This altruistic self-love energy benefits others and ourselves.
Meditate early in the day to set your tone. When Yogi’s gathered to meditate in Washington DC the crime rate dropped for 72 hours.

TAKING THE NEXT STEP - WHO ME?



Abraham has taught that there are three steps to achieving whatever you want to be, do or have. Now a fourth step is has been introduced to make the process even easier and more successful – establishing and maintaining a steady connection (or being on the high flying disc).
Ramona opened the meeting welcoming guests and asking members to update the group on whatever they have asked for and now appreciate. Lizette Stone shared that her new children’s book, A Wishing Will, is now available on Amazon.com

Eddie Conner is in North Carolina. He has provided a recorded meditation designed to open our minds to this new fourth step.

The three steps as taught by Abraham are:
1.     Ask for it.
2.     The Universe makes it available to us.
3.     We allow it to happen.

The fourth step is to do whatever we need to do to get ourselves on a High Flying Disc (HFD) and stay there. We must practice feeling good because for so long we have practiced not feeling good and accepted it. We need to change our feelings and the momentum of those feelings toward feeling good. After about 30 days we will be more used to being on an HFD than not, and it will become easier to deflect contrast or anything that hits us from a place that formerly could have knocked us off our HFD. Stated more simply, step 4 is “get on an HFD and stay there”.

In the opening video, Abraham-Hicks Amazing New Process, a young man (“You are good; you are really, really good”) is excited because he wrote a letter to Abraham asking for what he wanted, and did so as if he already received his requests and was basking in the enjoyment of having them. Since writing the letter (it was never mailed – just written and held) he has received every one of his desires. In his explanation, he used some words that had negative connotations. Abraham explained that since his vibration was so high, the Universe understood that these “negative” words were merely for show, to make a point, and it didn’t matter since he was on a high flying disc and maintaining his position there. Anything that is a vibrational match to where you are will be manifested because alignment brings clarity. The key is to think it, write it and feel it as if it has already happened, all while on an HFD.

The young man asked “What’s next?” Abraham answered that alignment is a state of feeling good because it brings clarity. And the clarity provides you with sustained actualization of being in a place that does not have split energies. In other words, the fourth step – getting on an HFD and staying there.

Abraham explains that Esther has become what she calls a vibrational snob. She has maintained herself on an HFD so long that when something occurs that formerly would have upset her vibrational frequency, she is no longer affected by it. 

When we are asleep we are without contrast and awake on an HFD. The key is to maintain that feeling throughout the day, and to do that for at least 30 days. Ramona shared that every morning when they awake, Mike and Ramona wish each other a happy birthday and have fun doing it. Since birthdays are a celebration, that good morning wish places them on an HFD. 

Practice getting on the HFD early in the day and staying there. After a while you will become stable on the HFD. The contrast AND the answer to it will come to you almost simultaneously. Contrast is good because it is closely followed by the answer which is really what we are looking for. When we know the answer will be coming soon, contrast doesn’t affect us as it used to and we stop slipping from our HFD’s. That is step 4 – getting on an HFD and staying there.

During this process, if something happens to knock you off your HFD, find something that will get you back on as quickly as possible. First, breathe deeply. Start journaling the good things that happen to you. Review the journal frequently. Keep photos of loved ones, especially children or grandchildren. If you like music, listen to your favorite songs. Meditate. Don’t take everything personal – remember that comments from others are their comments, not yours to own. (In your mind send the comment back to them with love and light). Take a walk. Go outside and enjoy nature. The key is to practice staying on the HFD and get the momentum going in the right direction.

RAMONA'S MANIFESTATION TO MEET ESTHER HICKS



1.    Ramona wrote a letter a month before the cruise telling Esther of her appreciation for the upcoming cruise and how Abraham changed her life.
2.     She told Eddie Conner and Mike she was going to meet her on the cruise.
3.    She had a dream where she met and spoke with Esther and had a photo taken.
4.    While flying to meet the cruise ship, Ramona started journaling about how the meeting would happen.
5.    The first day on the ship, during the lifeboat drill, she met the person in the next cabin who works for Esther and tells her he is the audio-video engineer for Abraham-Hicks.
6.    Someone bumped into Ramona and spilled coffee all over Ramona’s name tag. Ramona went to see Sarah, the person who replaced the name tag.
7.    The next two nights, at different restaurants, Sarah and some of the Abraham-Hicks crew are seated at the table next to us.
8.    At the last workshop, Ramona met Barbara, Esther’s right hand person, told her about the two meet-ups, and asked if a photo meeting could be arranged. Barbara said she cannot place appointments on Esther’s calendar, but “it will happen”.
9.    When she boarded the bus for the airport, Ramona noticed the bus next to hers had many of the Abraham-Hicks staff on it.
10.When the bus arrived at the airport, it was parked next to the Abraham-Hicks bus, and Ramona saw Esther get off the bus and head for the terminal.
11.After going through the first security checkpoint Ramona headed for the Delta Sky Priority line and Esther and some of her group were immediately ahead of us. We were called up to the counter next to them.
12.The sweet agent at the counter was asking us how we enjoyed our stay, etc. but could sense Ramona’s anxiety. He asked why and she told him about Esther, so he rushed our check-in process, finishing before Esther’s group. Ramona approached Esther and told her how she had manifested this meeting and asked for a photo. Ramona handed her camera to Esther’s body guard and asked him to take the photo which now appears on both of our meet-up websites.

RIDING ON THE CURRENT OF WELL BEING



Ramona greeted the members and welcomed guests and new members. Participants gave updates and shared the good things they appreciate. So much is going right for so many.

Eddie Conner provided an inspiring meditation setting the stage for the evening’s discussion.

The video was a segment (“Best Times for Creating”) from the DVD entitled “Push the Launch Button” by Esther Hicks (from the Alaskan cruise).

What does “Being on the Current of Well Being” mean to you? Optimism; everything in the proper balance; being in the flow; allowing things to flow; looking for the good; and mining greatness.

When on the current of well-being, everything flows and feels good because we are connected to Source.  Stated another way, we are on a “high flying disc” or “HFD”.  Mike described the HFD concept as follows: Visualize a funnel shaped cloud like a tornado. The small discs at the bottom represent the low feelings we get when we are depressed or in the company of someone we simply do not like or trust. And yet there is some good in that state of being. Why are we not always on the current of well-being?  Sometimes it is because we have formed habits, or habitual pathways that are not on the HFD.  Sometimes we find ourselves in the company of someone we do not like, and that brings us down. And sometimes we just spend 17 seconds in the wrong frame of mind.

When you are not on the current of well-being, what can you do to change that? Choose how we look at “ugly” things; don’t reflect on someone else’s ugly comments; don’t reflect on past negative experiences because it just reactivates the negativity; remember there are two sides to every coin – flip the coin to the right side; block people who talk about their negative ailments – and help them by send positive feelings, notes and letters; avoid negative people; you can send love and positive thoughts to strangers anywhere in the world because we are powerful energy; choose a higher position by centering yourself and getting on an HFD; remember your inner critic is there to help you – use it wisely; imagine your higher self in a compassionate way because it feels good; listen to your favorite music; think about nice memories; journal the positive things in life; pre-pave the right outcome beforehand; just “flip the switch”.

Pre-paving the outcome of a future experience can be very effective. Ramona shared the process she used to manifest (pre-pave) a photo with Esther Hicks. It will be the subject of our next email and blog entry. Basically, pre-paving steps can be summarized as follows:

  • Believe it will happen
  • Feel it in your bones
  • Imagine it happening
  • Visualize it happening
  • Feel the joy of it happening

Ramona also suggested when you are asleep, you are naturally on an HFD. Our job is to stay on the highest disc possible. Since birthdays are a day of festivity for Ramona and Mike, they wish each other a “Happy Birthday” every morning – first thing. It keeps them on the HFD they experienced while asleep. And the best part is 364 days of the year they are not a year older!

Abraham provided a wonderful rampage to push to reset button. Ramona shared it with the group. Focus on feeling better and increasing momentum through these statements:

I like the idea of creating my reality.
I like knowing I am Source energy in a physical body.
I like the idea of sorting through ideas.
Some things feel really good.
I like when I am directing my own mind.
I like the clarity that is created.
I like knowing I can catch a steady stream of this.
I am eager for what is coming.
It feels good to direct my mind.
It’s so much fun.
Life feels so good to me.
Contrast doesn’t bother me at all.  All I have to do is line up with a new idea.
I like knowing others are mirrors to me.
I like knowing I don’t have to keep score of my wrongdoing.
I’m getting better at riding the wave.
I adore where I am.
